Launching New Virtual Play Groups

Introducing the new and improved, pandemic approved, virtual VMI Playgroup Program! VMI is launching age-based Virtual Play Groups (VPGs) via Facebook group. These groups will continue to support moms and kids, online for now, and in person as health concerns decline. Effective immediately, VMI will no longer support the legacy color-based playgroups. The VPGs are not intended to replace the rich dialog and sharing that occurs on the main VMI page. The VPGs should focus on age-specific needs, support, building friendships, and when possible, arranging playdates.  Any in-person activities spurred through the VPGs will be subject to the VMI Activity liability clause on the VMI wild apricot website. 

Each group will have several admins. If you would like to volunteer, please email vmiplaygroups@gmail.com. The admins will help facilitate group discussions, schedule virtual meetups and ensure new members are introduced while helping people make connections. Admins will also ensure compliance with VMI standards and by-laws. Admins will meet regularly to ensure cross-group consistency and sharing.
