Meet the Board

Treasurer: Andi Sandborn

I am a mom of two girls, Anna (4) and Claire (1). We moved to Vienna from California two years ago due to my husband's Air Force career. I work as a CPA for EY in Tysons. We really enjoy living in Vienna, and often participate in the various town events on the Town Green and love going to the farmers market. You may also find us running or biking on the W&OD trail or at Caboose Brewery. We enjoy being a part of VMI and look forward to a year of fun events and activities.

Secretary: Amanda Beylo

Amanda joined the group after recently moving to Vienna in March 2018 along with her husband Pete and their almost three-year-old daughter, Maddison. Originally from Upstate NY, Amanda and her husband have lived in the Northern Virginia area since 2010. Amanda works full-time as an HR Manager and when she isn’t working you can catch her around town with her family and friends. She is excited to give back to the organization and to meet other Vienna Moms in her new role!!

VP Membership: Kimberly Steimel Howard

Kimberly is a native Virginian who has lived in Vienna for almost a decade now. She and her husband, Paul have two daughters, Alexa (four years), and Veronica (four months). She previously worked in communications for associations and is currently staying home full-time. You can find her at almost every Vienna Moms Book Club meeting, any nearby coffee shop, or at a local concert venue. Joining Vienna Moms helped her connect to her local community and found her moms willing to tackle the W&OD, stroller-style (mostly for the Caffè Amouri coffee at the end, of course!). 

VP Social: Amanda McCormick

I’m Amanda McCormick and this is my fourth year in VMI. I’ve served in various roles the last couple of years and love it! I have four children - 5.5 year old boy/girl twins, a 3.5 year old daughter, and a two month old son. We have lived in northern Virginia for about 13 years and absolutely love living in Vienna!! I love all the experiences, activities, and relationships that Vienna Moms provides and can’t wait to meet more of you out and about at events and in Vienna!

Monthly Featured Events: Ashley Keating & Angie Hirzel

Ashley is new to VMI and to Vienna this year! She and her husband have three kids, 6, 4 and 2. Angie has been in VMI for a couple of years and is a Vienna native. She and her husband have two kids, 3 and 1. By combining Ashley's new perspective and ideas and Angie's history of the group and Vienna, we hope to provide exciting and informative monthly featured events.

Social Chairs (Kids): Christina Ohl-Trlica, Shelley Ebert & Kristin Longwood

Christina, Kristin, and Shelley are excited to be organizing the big parties this Fall, Winter, and Spring!  All three moms are town residents; Shelley grew up in Vienna, Kristin moved to the DC area for college, and Christina has lived here for four years.  The three of them have been members of Vienna Moms for a combined seven years! Kristin helped with the party organization last year while Shelley previously planned playdates; Christina is new to the Board. Kristin and Shelley both have 2 year olds and Christina has 3 kids (ages 6, 3 and 1.)  The three of them are planning to integrate themes to the events this year and look forward to seeing all of you there.  

Playdate Coordinators: Maureen Carroll & Oly Medlicott

Oly – first time Mom with a toddler, moved recently to Vienna after many years in Europe and Asia with IT. For many years enjoyed teaching kids, teens and adults martial arts as her major hobby, but doing very little Aikido practice right now.

Maureen is a Vienna native and, after spending a few years in New York City, returned home to be closer to family. Happy to be back home, she wanted to find other moms to connect with and saw VMI as the perfect opportunity to do just that! Maureen and her husband have a son, Luke (2). Currently, Maureen is a substitute teacher with Fairfax Co. Public Schools.

Speaker Series: Peggy Yee & Lauren Forbes

Peggy has been a member of Vienna Moms for 3 years.  She and her husband, David, have 2 kids — Alex (6) and Emily (4) — and they love taking family trips to children's museums across the country. Peggy works full time as a real estate agent with Frankly Realtors.  Last year, she was one of the playdate coordinators and is excited to continue volunteering with Vienna Moms as one of the speaker series coordinators!

Lauren moved to Vienna 3 years ago from Florida and is originally from Pennsylvania.  She is so happy to be back somewhere with all 4 seasons!  Her and her husband, Scott, have 2 kids -  Dylan (5) and Ethan (7).  Lauren currently works part time as a Corporate Meeting Planner and enjoys her time off playing with the kids and exploring everything that Northern Virginia/D.C. has to offer.  They are always trying to find a new park or play place to try out, but also love having a good old fashion pajama day.  They love the friendliness and community that Vienna offers and love being a part of Vienna Moms.  

Philanthropy: Jill Christensen & Jamie Assaley

Jill: Wife to Pete. Mama to Cece (who is very specifically 4.75 years old). Born and bred in Pittsburgh, PA; Steelers' fan through and through. Manages software sales operations. Believes in kindness, strives for balance, aims for grace (and sleep).  Jamie: Mommin’ with my sweet sidekick toddler boy in Downtown Vienna. Partner to my husband Alex. Self care advocate and women’s health RN. Lover of fitness, margaritas and sunscreen! 

Vendor Fair: Maureen Neumann & Sara Snyder

Maureen is a mother of two daughters. The Neumann family moved to Vienna about 10 years ago. Vienna is a great place to raise a family. Maureen has volunteered to be the vendor fair coordinator to get to know Vienna more and help connect the local communities. Her name on Facebook is Terri Wu, her old name. Maureen currently leads a global sales operations team at an international satellite communications company. She can be reached at maureenneumann99@gmail.com. Sara is new to the Vienna Moms board and recently joined as the co-chair of the annual VMI vendor fair. She lives with her family in the Town of Vienna with her husband, Rick, and her two boys, Matthew (5) and Jeremy (3). She works at Capital One as a Program Manager in Digital Technology and enjoys runs on the W&OD trail, being a part of the Vienna Moms book club, and exploring the outdoors with her family. 

Welcoming Committee: Maresha Robertson, Michele Myauo & Melody Yazdani

Maresha joined Vienna Moms in January 2019 after becoming a full time, stay at home mom to daughter, Aria (14 months).  She and her husband, Daniel, have lived in Vienna for 7 years, but have lived in the Northern Virginia area for almost 11 years. Prior to becoming a stay at home mom, she worked in project management and public health. She is looking forward to welcoming new members in the coming year!

Michele is a new member of Vienna Moms and this year she is one of the welcome committee coordinators. She and her husband, Ting, have 1 child Wyatt (11 months).  Michele works full time as a director of cybersecurity with Microsoft.

Playgroups: Denise Seal

Denise Seal is a Vienna local.  She's been involved in Vienna Moms since her identical twin boys were born in 2017.  She also has 3 older children now in college and her oldest is graduated and recently married.  Denise works full time for the government.  In her free time she likes to exercise, read books and hang out with other moms.  

Mom's Night Out: Jessica Fairley & Abby Yu

Jess has lived in Vienna with her husband and daughter for three years, and began volunteering with VMI last year to meet other people and get involved in the community. She's found that hosting mom's night out events is a great way to ensure she actually attends these fun activities, and explores new places around town. 

Abby has lived in Vienna for almost three years and has a 5 year old son and 20 month old daughter. She started volunteering with VMI last year and has had a great time planning events for the group. Originally from Houston, she enjoys actually having four seasons of weather and searching for new and exciting restaurants to try. 

Social Media Manager: Cristina Ward

Cristina has been a member of Vienna Moms for 4 years. Her and her husband are both originally from NJ and have lived in the Nova area for 8 years. 6 of those years have been in Vienna. Cristina is a registered nurse and enjoys being able to be at home with her 3 kids (Benjamin 5, Mariella 4, & Samuel 1 1/2) during the week. Her and her family enjoy living in the wonderful town of Vienna. She is looking forward to volunteering her time to this year to VMI. 

Newsletter: Emily Yahn

Emily joined Vienna Moms three years ago after the birth of her first daughter. Her girls, Zoe (3.5) and Clara (2), love the fun events VMI puts on and she looks forward to giving back to the group. Emily runs a full time graphic design business out of her home in Vienna.
