Join the VMI Board for 2021-2022!
Dear Vienna Moms,
It's been a wild year for everyone...but we are so happy things are starting to return to normal! Our board members have worked so hard to help keep our community connected and active throughout the pandemic. From online cooking classes to mom meditation sessions, we hope everyone has found something to help you during this stressful time.
Volunteering for the board is a great way to make new friends, learn about Vienna, and give back to this great community. And your membership dues are waived for the year as a thank you for your hard work!
The current board term ends in June and we have some open spots. Christina and Emily will return as co-presidents, as will many of our current board members, so you'll have lots of expert advice to help as you plan activities.

Playdate Coordinators (3 Positions)
Plan and host 2-3 low-key playdates per month. Playdates are usually held weekdays late afternoon and some on weekends.
Baby Playdate Coordinators (2-3 Positions)
Plan and host 1-3 low-key playdates per month. Playdates held at varying times during the week/weekend to accommodate all types of moms.
Kids Social Chairs (2-3 Positions)
Plan and host three large seasonal parties for the year, normally held on weekends. If COVID restrictions prohibit large parties, this team will roll into supporting the playdates and kids' monthly featured events. Philanthropy Coordinator (1 Position) Keep members informed about community service events, plan for holiday contributions, and coordinate smaller philanthropic efforts. Mom’s Night Out (1 position) Plan and host evening or weekend events for moms to attend once a month. Welcome Committee (2 positions) Obtain new member lists monthly and send out welcome emails. Plan and host approximately three new member parties per year.
Secretary (1 position)
Records meeting minutes, oversees Newsletter Editor, solicits content for newsletter and plans summer concert. (1-2 hours/month) We hope to return to more typical in-person events as vaccinations continue to roll out, but will still integrate virtual events when it makes sense.
